Our at home service is tailor made to you, offering high quality, experienced physiotherapy in your own home ,at a time when travel and clinic appointments may be difficult.
We provide a plinth (treatment couch) and all other equipment that is required to complete the assessment. You do not have to be referred by your GP or wait for an NHS appointment. We do not accept health insurance cases.
We can offer appointments during the day time (Fridays only), evening appointments between 5pm and 8pm (Monday to Friday) and even weekend appointments. We will travel to homes in Cheltenham and the surrounding Cotswolds.
The consultation is a two way process, so the more that you can tell us about how the problem started, when you feel your symptoms, and what aggravates and eases them, the better. We will also need to ask questions relating to your general health and will require an up to date list of regular medication.
We aim to complete a detailed examination, to reach a diagnosis of your condition. This examination could involve a vaginal or ano-rectal examination, depending on your presenting problem. This will be discussed and any questions/queries will be answered fully. There is no pressure to consent to an internal examination, however, it is advantageous for diagnosis and treatment and many women actually find it very helpful.
Finally, we will discuss an individual treatment plan, including realistic and achievable personal goals.
An initial assessment is 60 minutes and follow-up is 40 minutes
